The Endocrine Nurse Helpline provides a confidential and non-judgemental service to people with pituitary conditions, their families and friends.
This service delivers appropriate and clear information in a prompt and empathetic manner to enable callers to make informed choices.
Our helplines cannot become involved in the medical or non-medical management of any individual case.
This service is limited to general information and support, and isn’t a crisis or emergency helpline. We cannot offer medical advice, nor are we experienced to deal with mental health issues.
As we are based in UK, practices, and interpretation of results for other countries can be difficult and medications often differ.
Our helplines are able to speak to pituitary conditions. In some cases, other organisations may be best placed to support you.
- If you have a pituitary unrelated thyroid condition, or questions, please contact British Thyroid Foundation
- If you are calling about primary adrenal insufficiency (Addison’s) visit the Addisons Disease Self Help Group
- If you need support for mental health issues please Samaritans (tel 116 123) or MIND.
Please complete this short and anonymous survey to let us know how well we did. This survey will help us understand what we are getting right and where we might need to improve in the future.
By calling us you are providing consent for us to process your data (details about you) in order to provide you with the information or services you are contacting us about. Your personal details will only be used to provide you with information or services you have requested.
Any data collected will be anonymised to help us in collecting statistics and evaluate our services. Our telephone system has a number display facility. Caller’s telephone numbers to the Endocrine Nurse Helpline may be displayed on the telephone screen. If your number is displayed, this will not be recorded in any means unless you give us permission.
Please don’t leave a message on this service, as we cannot call you back or check messages, but do try the line again.
