Welcoming new nurses and extending our opening times
We’re thrilled to welcome two new nurses to our endocrine nurse team. Our two nurses, joining in January and February of 2026, bring expert endocrine experience and will allow us to keep our helpline open for longer.

Alison
Alison is an endocrine clinical nurse specialist at a district general hospital. She is a nurse prescriber and has completed a post-graduate certificate qualification in advanced practice. Alison has experience in many areas of nursing and now enjoys caring for patients with various endocrine conditions. She is looking forward to working with The Pituitary Foundation!

Emily
Emily is an endocrine specialist nurse working at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, in Cornwall. She has 7 years of nursing experience and is involved in the assessment, education and long-term management of patients with endocrine disorders, working closely within multidisciplinary teams. Her professional interests include evidence-based practice, patient education and improving outcomes for people living with pituitary conditions.

*These new hours will start from February 2026, when Alison will be joining our team. Until then, we will be open Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

Can’t get through? Leave our nurses a message!
We know our nurse helpline is often very busy, which can mean it takes a while to get through to speak to one of our nurses. To help with this, we have introduced a new answering machine service, which means you can leave your message and contact details with the nurse. This way, they can call you back if they miss your call.
