We’ll be joined by Miguel DeBono, Consultant Endocrinologist, Honorary Professor and Clinical Director at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
He will discuss his research on home waking salivary cortisone tests for adrenal insufficiency, a simple and non-invasive alternative to the traditional ACTH (Synacthen) stimulation test. This approach has the potential to reduce costs and improve patient experience, with studies showing it is generally preferred by patients.
