We’re coming to Birmingham for our next Get-Together! These are our in-person events where you get to hear from incredible speakers and meet others affected by pituitary conditions. We can’t wait to bring you all together in the West Midlands for the first time!

We’ll have brilliant talks from medical professionals, and you’ll also have the opportunity to meet trustees, staff and members of The Pituitary Foundation.

About the speakers

A woman with short dark hair is smiling for a photo. She is wearing a pink roll-neck jumper.

Professor Niki Karavitaki – Niki is a professor of endocrinology at the University of Birmingham and an honorary consultant endocrinologist at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. Her clinical and research work mainly focuses on hypothalamo-pituitary conditions, and she has published extensively on the field. She is a co-lead of the Pituitary Service and leads the academic clinical training in Endocrinology and Diabetes at the University of Birmingham.

Dr Sue Jackson – Sue is a chartered psychologist who researches endocrine disorders, and how the health service can be improved. She’s been involved with The Pituitary Foundation for more than two decades and writes psychological advice for people affected by pituitary conditions. Sue will be running an interactive workshop on wellbeing.

With a clinical focus on pituitary tumours, adrenal insufficiency, andrology, metabolic bone and calcium disorders, and adult growth hormone deficiency, Sherwin brings extensive expertise to some of the most complex areas in endocrine care.
