Pat was diagnosed and had surgery for a primary pituitary abscess in 1986. She has panhypopituitarism and had raised prolactin for 20 years. Pat was a volunteer for The Pituitary Foundation in 1996, then became a staff member in 1999. She is currently Senior Support Manager at The Pituitary Foundation.
