This year’s Volunteers’ Week, taking place from 1st until 7th June, gives us a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our incredible volunteers!

Since the charity’s beginnings, over 25 years ago volunteers have been an integral part of our journey, offering support to individuals and their support networks with pituitary conditions across the UK.

We have had the privilege of working with more than 300 volunteers from diverse backgrounds over these years. They help us organise events, answer helpline calls, and coordinate support groups, among many other invaluable contributions.

We are so grateful to all our volunteers past and present. We have lots of exciting activities planned during Volunteers’ Week so read on to find out more!

Sharing Your Stories

To showcase the incredible diversity of our volunteers, we have had the pleasure of speaking with three individuals who hold different roles at The Pituitary Foundation. Keep an eye on our social media channels and website to meet Steve, Jess, and Ann, and hear first-hand about their unique volunteering experiences.

Volunteer Training

Supporting our volunteers is essential to our work, as the work they do directly supports others in the pituitary community. As part of Volunteers’ Week, we are hosting training sessions for our new and existing volunteers. The sessions will cover a wide range of topics, to ensure that we are getting the best out of our volunteers. There will also be opportunities for volunteers to socialise and get peer support from one another.

Thank You!

Our volunteers truly embody the heart and soul of our charity, and without their unwavering dedication, we simply couldn’t accomplish what we do. We are so grateful for their support and want to thank them all for their hard work in supporting anyone affected by pituitary conditions.
