As a charity we rely on generous donations and fundraisers to continue our work in supporting anyone affected by a pituitary condition. Legacy income, or gifts left in wills, is an important aspect of our income.

Over the last 10 years, legacy income has accounted to 12% of our total income. It has allowed us to keep our Endocrine nurse helpline running, set up information stands in hospitals and keep our information booklets updated.

You may remember Sue Cooper who left a generous legacy after she died. With her legacy we were able to create a stand in the Endocrine Department at St Mary’s Hospital on the Isle of Wight. This allows people attending the clinic, especially those who are newly diagnosed to easily access information and learn about the support that The Pituitary Foundation can offer.

We are so grateful to all the people who have left us a gift in their will, as it allows us to continue our work support anyone affected by pituitary conditions.

Usually, drawing up a will with a solicitor or even official legal advice can be expensive. That’s why we offer a free will writing service for all members of the Pituitary foundation. It’s worth £120 and there’s no obligation to leave a gift. If you’re interested, you can find more information here or email [email protected].

If you aren’t already a member you can become one for just £25 a year.
