HELPLINE VOLUNTEERS WANTED

We are looking for motivated people who would like to make a difference by volunteering on the Pituitary Foundation’s Telephone HelpLine.

This is an excellent opportunity to use any telephone skills you might have, and to support the pituitary community.

Duties: Your role will be to take calls on our HelpLine which operates between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday. The usual shift pattern is to cover either a morning (10:00am to 1:00pm), or an afternoon (1:00pm to 4:00pm). We are looking for volunteers to cover either a regular weekly shift or to provide variable cover for staff leave, etc.

Duration: Ongoing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • General pituitary interest and knowledge
  • Some experience in telephone call taking (but training can be offered)
  • Empathy and common sense
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Basic computer ability and email access.
