|
(October 2007) The Society for Endocrinology has released a position statment on the use of dopamine agonists in endocrine disorders. Dopamine agonists are routinely used in the treatment of pituitary disorders such as Hyperprolactinaemia and Acromegaly. This statement follows reports earlier this year that the use of the dopamine agonists pergolide and cabergoline in the management of Parkinson’s disease is associated with cardiac valve fibrosis. To read the position statement: SfE Position Statement About the Society for Endocrinology The Society for Endocrinology (SfE) is the major British society representing scientists, clinicians and nurses who work with hormones.
