Each case will need to be assessed individually. You may find that the insurance company charges extra premiums. If your condition has only recently been diagnosed or treatment started, they may want to postpone a decision for a while. Of course, each insurance company will have its own practices. You need to persevere, if the first response is disappointing.

You can also look under our Useful Contact Information section in our Resource Library to find more information and direct links to organisations that can be of service.  Our listing is not exhaustive but will give you a start and includes information on brokers, health insurance, financial planning and travel insurance.

If you would like more information, please email us on helpline@pituitary.org.uk or telephone 0845 450 0375.
