Do you already use eBay.co.uk to sell your unwanted items? If so, you can now raise funds for The Pituitary Foundation at the same time!
The Foundation has signed up to eBay for Charity and this lets you donate between 10% to 100% of your final sale price to our fundraising. For each listed item you'll also get a fee credit on your basic insertion and final value fees equal to the percentage you donate (so if you donate 50% of your selling price to a charity, eBay will waive 50% of your fees). eBay for Charity listings are the same as any other eBay listing, except for the blue and yellow eBay for Charity ribbon symbol in the search results.
Once you're ready to sell your item, go to the Sell hub and select Advanced Sell.
Look out for the charity box just below where you set your price. Select The Foundation and the percentage of your final selling price that you'd like to donate. (Note: The minimum donation is £1 per listing).
A week after your item sells, MissionFish (eBay's charity partner) will automatically collect the donation from you. You can also manage your donations through the My Donations section of My eBay, under the My Account tab. Any fee credits will appear on your next invoice.
For more information about selling items on eBay for Charity, please click here. If you have not previously used eBay but would like to find out more, please click here to see the eBay Explained web page.
If you know how eBay works and would like to register so that you can buy and sell, then click here to go straight to the Register page.
EveryClick: The Pituitary Foundation can receive money for every search made on the search engine, EveryClick. Just go to www.everyclick.com and set up The Pituitary Foundation as your chosen charity, and we'll receive money for your online searches - and it doesn't cost you a penny!
Recycle: The Pituitary Foundation receives money for every used inkjet cartridge and old mobile phone recycled through Recycle 4 Charity. Each used inkjet earns us £1.00 (50p if it has already been recycled) and phones can bring £2.50 each (for phones made before 1998), £5.00 (for those manufactured after 1998) and even up to over £25!
If you, or your company or school, would like Recycle 4 Charity bags so you can send your empty inkjets or old mobiles and help to raise money for The Pituitary Foundation, email us at fundraising@pituitary.org.uk
