The Pituitary Foundation provides support to pituitary carers in order that they are better able to offer support and care to the pituitary patient without undue detriment to their own physical, mental and emotional well-being. The Foundation seeks to support such carers through: - New Updated - (December 2005) Provision of our information for carers
Carers Pack (123.50 KB) - Carers Resources section on this website which will guide you to other organisations and information available throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland.
- Provision of information about pituitary conditions and related issues.
- The opportunity to speak to trained volunteer Telephone Buddies who are carers.
- Offering referrals to Local Support Groups, many of which have a Carer Representative. Pituitary Carers are most welcome at local support group meetings.
If you are a pituitary carer and would like more information on any of the support services we provide, please email helpline@pituitary.org.uk. This is a legacy of the very successful Carer Support Project, that the Department of Health funded through 2000 – 03.
