Meetings are held in the Garden Room at Cosham Community Centre, Wootton Street, Cosham and we kick off at the times shown below. We also meet once a year ('ish) over on the Isle of Wight & also in Chichester in the Diabetes Centre at St Richard's Hospital. Our lovely Pituitary nurse at Southampton General often comes along to our meetings too & we will happily come to Southampton to meet if requested.
Our next gathering is for our Christmas celebration & we will welcome several speakers, who will be telling us lots of funny poems & short stories. This looks to be great fun - they unfortunately couldn't come along to the AGM because they'd been double booked !! There will of course be the usual raffle (prizes very welcome please) & fine fayre as usual too of course.
We are seeking new committee members please; this job can actually be quite a laugh & we only hold 4 Committee meetings per year. New blood is always good, so please volunteer your services - contact us via this site or come along to the AGM & we'll be very happy to explain a little more to you - Please don't just think that someone else will do the job; why not YOU ??
We frequently invite professional and relevant speakers & all pituitary patients, carers (for want of a better word), family and friends are very welcome. We always hold a raffle (prizes gratefully received on the day/evening, although nothing to break the bank of course!). Refreshments are available too.
In December & March, we meet up on a Saturday morning, which is always so enjoyable because we are a little more alert and not in such a rush to get home to bed!
We look forward to meeting you for a chat, a sharing of experiences, the odd whinge, and a laugh or two as well. We've welcomed some excellent speakers recently and also new members to our get-togethers, so why not come along to hear the ‘hints & tips’, which very often, only we as patients find out along our different pituitary paths.
