The Sussex local support group covers the whole of the county, from Chichester to Rye & Brighton to Crawley, and seeks to provide help and support to pituitary patients and their carers. The group meets four times a year at venues around the county and can include a lunch, an outdoor event such as a garden party and often has an invited guest speaker. The September meeting was well supported and raised nearly £90 for the group. The success of the cream teas and plant sale may be repeated next year. My thanks to all who attended and helped. The January meeting is planned for Thursday the 15th, at St Georges Crypt in Kemp Town, Brighton, BN2 1ED and will feature a talk by the Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy at Sussex University & some of his students will attend to meet with Pituitary patients. Pituitary Awareness Days. The first of four pituitary awareness days to be held around the County will be on the 1st of Nov 2008, on the ground floor of the ‘County Mall Shopping Centre’, Crawley, RH10 1FD from 0900 hr.
